Muirhead new chief steward
PA Wellington Mr L. J. (Les) Muirhead was appointed chief stipendiary steward of the New Zealand Racing Conference yesterday. Mr Muirhead has been a stipendiary Reward in Auckland since 1980, and prior to this officiated in the Canterbury, Nelson and Marlborough region. Mr L. N. (Noel) McCutcheon, a steward in the Wellington area since 1983, will transfer to Auckland to take up the vacant position.
