Second FCL div.
PA Wellington Fletcher Challenge has declared a second interim dividend of 14.5 c a share in lieu of a final dividend and confirmed a profit of more than $5OO million for the year ended June 30. The chairman, Sir Ronald Trotter, said that in view of the changes in taxation legislation from October 1, directors considered that it was in the interests of shareholders to declare such a divi-
dend. Sir Ronald said the group, as previously forecast, will achieve a result in excess of $5OO million “The directors have acknowledged this excellent result by increasing the total dividend payout from last year’s 22.3 c per bonus adjusted share to 25c for this year.” The final result will be announced on September 14, the dividend paid on September 27 and the annual meeting held on November 9.
