Fast Post

Sir, — I pasted a letter (Fast Post 70c) at 9 a.m. on Sunday, August 7, to a private address at Rotorua for a special occasion. I rang Rotorua at 8 p.m. on August 9 — no letter received! It was addressed and stamped in the right manner. On August 8 I posted a letter (40c) to Invercargill. It arrived there the next day. The person wrote back to me on that day (40c stamp) and I received the return letter the day after. I have spoken to a member of our local post office about the above and received a garbled version of what might have happened. In view of the facts I can only believe this 70c Fast Post is a rip-off. — Yours, etc.,

JAMES E. SAPWELL. August 11, 1988.
