Star Count, a newcomer to the meeting, in the Paritai Handicap tomorrow, was sent over 1200 m with Purple Rose, and ran the trip in a smart 1:15.2, in good copnditions, the closing 800 m in 495, and the 600 m in 36.65. He was going well enough at the finish and has the services of Phillip Mercer tomorrow with Brian Hibberd riding McAdam.
(Jackson) were together in 51.2 s for 800 m while Yeldham ran 50.3 s on his own, home in 37.65. The fastest gallop of the session came from Comparable (Williams) Schomberg (Phoebe Gerard) and Bahnoff Strasse (Pitman) which clocked 47.8 s for 800 m showing what was possible for ambitious trialists.
Corkage and Suzy Harbour, visitors from Woodville, were among those working on the plough running 600 m in 39.15. Nuclear Rocket finished well clear of Rakau Tiffany after 800 m in 51s, and 600 m in 38.55, while Blue Heaven ran her last 600 m in 39.45.
Evan Rayner is still juggling his options with Atishu regarding the Winter Cup and David Peake is a possible replacement for Noel Harris on Go
