Pac Dunlop to diversify
NZPA-AAP Melbourne Pacific Dunlop, Ltd, will diversify into medical technology with a sAustl9o million (SNZ23IM) offer for Nucleus, Ltd, and its subsidiary, Telectronics Holdings, Ltd, producers of bionic ears, pacemakers and other devices.
In a friendly bid it is offering six of its shares and
sAustl.9s cash for every five Nucleus shares, and three of its shares plus 635 c for every 10 Telectronics shares. Managing director, Mr Philip Brass, said the company had been seeking new areas for expansion, and the deal would take the company into the medical business from an established base.
