Gold bar still missing
No new development has occurred in the search for a gold bar valued at $140,000 which has gone missing between Greymouth and Auckland. The head of the Greymouth C. 1.8., Detective Sergeant Alistair Smith,
said that inquiries were continuing, but the police at present were no nearer finding a solution. “A basic problem was that the loss of the bar was not reported until a week after it went missing,” he said.
