Same six for series
The same six teams which have competed in the A.G.C. South Pacific rugby championship since its introduction three years ago will do so again next season in spite of protestations by some New Zealand unions which wanted entry into the invitation series. Representatives from New South Wales, Queensland, Fiji, Auckland, Wellington and Canterbury finalised details at a meeting in Brisbane at the week-end. Canterbury’s delegate at the meeting, Les Russell, president of the Canterbury Union, said yesterday that the draw would be released at the next meeting in Auckland next month.
