Hayle’s future in balance
Hayle’s racing future is in the balance for the next six weeks, as he recovers from a ruptured pastern suffered at Waimate on Saturday. The injured pastern will be put in a plaster cast for just over a month and progress will be monitored.
“It is in a very tricky spot low down near the hoof and much depends on getting everything in exactly the right place and then to see how the injury recovers," said Mrs Jane Jackson, wife of the trainer. Garth Jackson, iast evening.
