M.P.s form Amnesty group
PA Hamilton Two members of Parliament say they plan to ask other members to form a branch of Amnesty International. The member for Hamilton West, Mr Bill Dillon, and the member for Rotorua, Mr Paul East, have made a bipartisan call for the formation of a parliamentary
branch of the organisation which works for prisoners’ rights. Mr Dillon said the parliamentary branch would concentrate specifically on the rights of parliamentary prisoners. An inaugural meeting of the parliamentary branch will be held tomorrow.
