Senna victorious

NZPA-Reuter

Silverstone, England

The Brazilian Ayrton Senna ignored steady rain to revive his world drivers’ championship challenge by steering his McLaren to an accomplished victory in the British Gi;and Prix motor race yesterday. Senna took full advantage of the fuel consumption problems which bedevilled the Ferrari team and the early retirement of his great rival, McLaren team-mate Alain Prost, of France, to drive to his fourth triumph of the season. McLaren has now won all eight Formula one races this year. Senna came home in Ihr 33min 16.3675ec, finishing 23sec ahead of the Briton, Nigel Mansell.
