' THE PRESS EDP PROJECT MANAGER Our client, The Christchurch Press Company Limited, is seeking an experienced computer professional to oversee the introduction of a major new computer system. The new system will be an editorial copy processing system supporting over 100 workstations. It will subsequently be expanded to include advertising applications. The project manager will assist in the final stages of the selection process and then manage the .introduction of the system. He or she will report directly to the general manager. Applicants for this key position should have a number of years experience in business or technical computing, which preferably will have included programming, analysis, project management and staff management responsibilities. A broad knowledge of both minicomputer and personal computer systems is essential and it is preferable that the person has systems programming skills. A knowledge of printing fundamentals and the newspaper industry would be useful. A competitive remuneration package will be offered.
