Showroom new concept in blind display

The new showroom of Window Treatments, situated directly opposite the entrance to Placemakers in Mandeville Street, is a new concept in vertical and micro-blind display, with bedroom, dining and office-style displays throughout Customers may walk in the door and view window dressing which shows the styles and practical advantages of a large range of vertical and microblinds.

Window Treatments prides itself on the friendliness of its consultants, who will demonstrate the blinds and explain their differences and where each is best used.

The vertical blinds available come in three widths — 127 millimetres,

89 millimetres and the narrowest blind on the market, 52 millimetres. The fabrics used range from fibreglass to polyester.

Window Treatments also has the only electrical vertical blind on display in the South Island. Its new product, the micro-venetian blind, is modern and elegant, bearing little resemblence to traditional Venetian blinds. Constructed of aluminium, it is available in a huge range of colours and the tilting wand is the narrowest on the market — hence the name micro. Window Treatments is a family business which manufactures all its products in Christchurch, using experienced staff and its own factory.

This allows it to provide quick and efficient service, and to uphold the high standards which it believes its customers have come to expect.

That service has now been extended through

the new and spacious showroom, which displays a wide range of samples so that customers can use different blinds, see how they work and then decide which blind they would prefer for their own homes.
