Mr W. J. Shaw (top) has been appointed chairman of the General Accident Insurance Company New Zealand, after the retirement of Mr W. J. R. Scollay (middle) from the company’s board. Mr Shaw, who has been on the board since 1985, is the chairman of Barclays New Zealand. Mr Scollay has been chairman of General Accident’s New Zealand company since 1986 and has been a member of the board since 1966. Mr L. C. Ryan (above) has been appointed to the board of the insurance company. He is the chairman of Airways Corporation and was an executive director of Fletcher Challenge until his retirement last year.
