Good test for cancer drug
PA Wellington A cancer treatment drug developed by New Zealand researchers is receiving international attention with clinical trials in the United States.
The Cancer Research Laboratory in Auckland developed the drug — now called CI 921 — and good results were shown in a phase one trial at Auckland Hospital.
The second stage of testing has begun on 15 cancer patients in the United States to find out how effective the drug is in treating certain types of cancer.
