Armed squad call-out
An armed offenders squad unit was called out about 7 p.m. yesterday after a report of a woman in a Kilmore Street flat with a rifle. A police spokesman said the woman had be-
haved in a depressed state. A neighbour had seen the woman, aged 25, inside the flat with the rifle, The woman had not answered the door or the telephone.
The area was cordoned, disrupting heavy Friday evening traffic for about an hour, until the woman was coaxed from the house by the police, soon after 9 p.m.
