Chch jobless rise

Jobless numbers rose 129 in the Christchurch district during April, according to the latest figures from the Labour Department. In April there were 11,051 unemployed in the Christchurch district, which includes Rangiora and Ashburton, compared with 10,922 in March. At the same time last year the total was 8447.
