Shotput record set
NZPA-Reuter Hania, Crete An East German, Ulf Timmermann, set a world shotput record of 23.06 metres at an international athletics meeting on the Greek island of Crete on Sunday, officials said. The former record of 22.91 metres was set in Viareggio, Italy last August 12 by an Italian, Alessandro Andrei.
