Case of Katherine Mansfield
“The Case of Katherine Mansfield,” starring Cathy Downes, will be presented in New Zealand this year to celebrate the centenary of Mansfield’s birth. The play has been acclaimed round the world. London’s “Time Out” magazine called it “a virtuoso tour-de-force, showing one woman’s struggle with herself and her art.” Sweeney Vesty, Ltd, will manage the New Zealand tour. The Christchurch performances of the production will be in the Great Hall in the Arts Centre from July 19 to 24. The show will be sponsored by Electricorp.
