Railway sparks ignite fires
Sparks ' from a passing train’s wheels caused several small scrub fires near thp Waimakariri River railway bridge between Chaneys and Kaiapoi last evening. | Two( engines from the Kaiapoi Fire Brigade took about an (hour to put out three or (four fires, after being called out at 8.10 p.m., said the Christchurch Fire Service.
