Kite flies girl
NZPA-AP Mountain View, California DeAndra Anrig was flying her kite when it suddenly began to fly her. | A twin-engine plane qaught the 100 kg nylon test line of DeAndra’s kite and carried the eight-year-old girl (about 30; metres over her father’s head and almost into d tree before she let go. DeAndra and her parents were picnicking with friends at'a park, about 50 kilometres south of San Francisco and near Palo Alto Airport, taking turns flying a glider-type kite with a four-metre wingspan, when the incident happened. Asked what she thlought about during her brief (flight, DeAndra said, "I wasn’t thinking anything but how scared I was.” I!
