j PA : Wellington ! American Express is j calling for entries for its ' fifth annual New Zealand short story award. ■ The | author, Michael ! King, will act as preliminary judge and the former broadcasting journalist, lan Cross, will be the final judge. As well as a $5OOO first prize American .Express offers $2OOO to the runner-up. Last year Owen Marshall, of Timaru, won the I award, with Palmerston North’s Fiona Farrell Poole second. Entries will close on : April 29.
