Former lawyer bankrupt
PA ; Auckland A former Auckland lawyer, John Malcolm Murfitt, Was yesterday judged bankrupt over a nine-year-old debt. Steel and Tube (N.Z.), Ltd, had judgment entered against Murfitt last April for $40,804.77.
Murfitt did not appear in [the High Court to contest the] petition, which the company’s credit controller, IMr Peter Wyn, said was the result of a personal; guarantee for a loan to a company run by Murfitt, Castle Manufacturing. I ’ L -/
