( | I Since he began per? forming in 1960,1 Tilders has amassed six [albums; [while Manning, who has been playing the blues for more than 201 years, has [released 13 LPs. Manning’s list of J credits on stage is also big. He has played with Muddy Waters, The Rolling Stones, Alexis lKorner,( Free, and Pink Ijloyd, to
name a few. | : The National; Collection, consisting of Jeremy Fogarty [guitar), ( Rob Kerniac (bass), and Robin Andrews (drums), are on their third tour of New Zealand. This one coincides with the| release of their new album, “Excitable Ij’a'rts,” which was recorded in New Zealand and features [Tilders on several tracks. ! | Besides playing at the Gladstone Tavern this evening through to Saturday eyening, I! the blues show will perform at the United} Service (Hotel on Sunday evening. The blues bhow will also be back at the Gladstone on April : 8 and 19;
• The Chills will return to Christchurch for two dates [at the Playroom, McKenzie’s Hotel, on April 29 and 30. | I I • Jasper .Carrott, the English comedian, has booked a date at the Christchurch Town Hall on April 23.
• Rumoured to tour are The Fall, in July, and Morrissey, ! formerly of The Smiths.
• The Curious George Club at the University of Canterbury Students’ Association building has three I performers this eyening — James Wilkinson (a(folk rock guitarist), Waxed Tadpole, and En Can Ma.
