equivalent of SUSIO9O in cash and travellers cheques, said a police officer in 125kmi south of Bangkok. The tourists were| identified as Wendy Newton, aged 25, and Ann Ferguson, aged 28,1 from Australia, and Garth Oswalo, aged 24, from New: Zealand. i ' ■ Police said they were
robbed while sleeping'on the bus from Krabi I to Bangkok, a jout-ney ;of more than 800 km: iThey reported the theft to the bus driver who then stopped at ai check point and asked highway policemen to search the bus. • .
