Dalzell regains title
Bruce Dalzell, of North Canterbury, regained the New Zealand clay target single barrel championship at Yaldhurst yesterday. i The winner of the title on the same range at his first attempt in 1984, Dalzell did not have to go through the tension of a shoot-off. He was the only competitor to achieve a maximum of 50. The best of Dalzell’s rivals was John Tindall, of Greymouth, who took the A grade championship after a shoot-off with others who had scored 49. By that stage Dalzell could afford to relax knowing that his name would again be inscribed on the Murihiku Cup. Results.— Single barrel: High over-all winner: Bruce Dalzell (North Canterbury), 50. A grade: John Tindall (Greymouth), 49, in a shootoff from John Wilky (Hutt Valley), 49,. and Tony) Rohrlack (Australia), 49. j B grade: Eddie Birchall 1 (Belfast), 46, 1; Warren Paton| (Auckland Metropolitan), 45, in a shoot-off from Kerry Whitford (Banks Peninsula), 45.
