A SWOLLEN ankle would, according to Steve Daly’s doctor, keep him out of cricket for the rest of the season. Days after receiving that prognosis the medium-paced bowler for East-Shirley was doing his bit for the senior side in the penultimate round of the Trust Bank Cup competition against Old Collegians. Sprained ankle and all, Daly bowled nine overs off a shortened run and took two for 15 as East-Shirley preserved its unbeaten first grade record since Christmas.
