Sir,—How odd the sop jof politics I is. The National Party “used to see Labour people ias communists. The Labour Party . used to see Nationalists as either Tories or capitalists. People wire considered either rich, mididle class, or poor. Politicians told their fairy tales from soap bodies; now, they tell them from television |boxes. Politicians wjere once thought to be honest! because what they said they stbod for they did; but now they Jare distrusted because they are dding the opposite of what they say they stand for. National was thought to be against the working class, while Labour was thought to be against the idle rich. Now, Labour has only got eyes and policies for the rich, while National has only got eyes j for the Treasury benches. How honest is politics?
