Leak probe denied
PA Wellington The Prime Minister's office has denied launching! an investigation into alleged information jeaks. The Prime Minister, Mr Lange, took the opportunity to warn of the need for discretion durirg the course of a routine meeting of press secretaries on February 25, his chief press officer, Mr to ervyn Gull, said yesterday! Mr Lange’s remarks had been reported subsequently in the i news media. Since in-house, domes-
tic matters were discussed at the meetings, and there appeared to have been a leak, Mr Cull said he felt it wise to remind press secretaries to be discreet. But Mr Cull said his action definitely did not constitute a prime ministerial investigation. Mr Lange said on Monday that the notion that the Government had the strategy of denying information! to the news media was without any foundation and press secretaries were employed to disseminate information.
