Postponed protest
Justice Department staff withdrew from taking industrial action in protest against the State Sector Bill this week because they had not given sufficient notice of their intentions. The District Court registrar, Mr Robert Twidle, said the action had not gone ahead because the required notice had not been given. Staff will continue to strike on Monday, the national day of action for Public Service Association members.
