Stolen vase recovered
A Japanese vase gilded with 24 carat gold is held at the New Brighton Police Station in the hope its owner will come forward. I
The vase was among property recovered from a Christchurch flat
on Monday after its occupant was arrested on charges of burglary. Owners have been found for most of the property but the police cannot find claimants for the vase, a nest of Queen
Anne tables, two varnished storage bins for food, and several brass ornaments. The vase bears a silver plaque with a floral engraving surrounded by gilding. . | Its base has the words,
