Marton double likely for O’Sullivan

Special correspondent' Wellington I The leading rider, Lance O’Sullivan, Stands an excellent chance of riding the T.A.B. double winners at the Marton jockey Club’s meeting at Awapuni this afternoon. ! O’Sullivan has been booked for Apello in the SBOOO Criterion Hotel Handicap '(2200m) and Nuclear Ann in the SSOOO Castlecliff Hotel Handicap (1600 m at the restricted meeting today. The weather may be unsettled in much of the country, but yesterday it was blowing at Palmerston North and the track was firm. Apello, a gelding by Amyntor, is trained by Merv Andrews on the course, and last time out he was third to his stablemate. Rainbow Reason, at Napier Park. Apello has not raced at 2200 metres, but he was running on at the end of 2100 metres at his last start.
