Joe Askew, who won a gold medal at the world roller skating I championships two, yiears ago, and Tony Keefe, who won two bronze medals at last year’s championships, were members of the Australian team which competed in the two international South Island skating tours recently. | Keefe and Roger Hawkins, of Christchurch, had a keen duel iii the men's A grade, Keefe faking the over-all aggregate in both tours. j The tours served as a good build-up to the New Zealand banked track championships in Christchurch at Easter week-end.
