Charges of theft
Three youths were arrested after allegedly stealing a denim jacket from a passer-by in central Christchurch last evening. The police said that the complainant handed over the jacket after being accosted by the youths in Cashel Stret, near the Bridge of Remembrance, about 7.30 p.m. They have been charged with theft, and one with using threatening language.
