Miss Lily Patterson, of .Christchurch, takes part in a World Day of Prayer service at St Luke’s Anglican Church yesterday. Seventeen services were held in various churches throughout Christchurch and suburbs at different times during the day to mark the Day of Prayer’s hundredth anniversary. The annual Day of Prayer is celebrated in 170 countries and is sponsored by the International Committee of the World Day of Prayer. It was organised in New Zealand by Christian Women United of Aotearoa-New Zealand.
