A former top Canterbury speedway rider, Alan Brown, who will come out of retirement to compete in the New Zealand grass track speedway championship at the Ellesmere Showground tomorrow. Brown, who was twice runner-up in the New Zealand speedway championships and rode for several years for the British Kings Lynn club, retired from racing in 1978.
