‘Die for his cause’
PA Wellington The post office protester, Mr Patrick Hogan, said yesterday he was prepared to die for his cause. “If that is what I have to do to | convince the Government they are wrong, I am prepared to do it,” he said, as he resumed his protest outside Parliament. Mr Hogan, aged 48, is in his fifteenth day of a fast as part of his protest against the Government’s closing of the Mapua Post Office, in the small township near Nelson. Mr Hogan was covered in bandages to “symbolise the Government’s brutal treatment ‘ , of small people.”
