GROUP TREASURER FOR THE TRUSTEE BANK Mr Murray Bain Of Wellington has been appointed as group treasurer g! Trustee Bank Holdings Limited. Since August last year, Mr Bain has been working on the task of establishing a central treasury function for the bank. This has involved working with the regional banks in the group to ensure the smooth transfer of the regional treasury assets to the group treasury. Mr Bain has been with the Trust Bank organisation since 1973 when he joined Trustbank Canterbury to establish its data processing funcJion. For his first 10 years with Trustbank Canterbury, Mr Bain was also (deeply involved at both local and national level in electronic banking (ATM and EFT-POS) credit card policy, marketing and pricing. The last three years have been {spent in charge of the bank’s Finance Division with responsibility I for accounting, treasury and corpo’rate planning. :Mr Bain was educated at St [Andrews College, Christchurch. He attended Canterbury University graduating with a BSc in Pure Mathematics and later a Master of Commerce degree with honours in economics. After leaving University. Mr Bain worked for,two years with New Zealand Motor Corporation before joining Trustbank Canterbury.
