Churches to mark world prayer day
World Day of- Prayer's hundredth anniversary will be marked! today in Christchurch by 17 church services. i They will be held at various churches throughout the city and [suburbs [ at different times. The annual prdyer day [ embraces 170 countries and is sponsored by the International Committee of the World Day of [ Prayer. In New Zealand it [
has been organised by Christian Women United of Aotearoa-New Zealand. This year’s international service has been prepared by the .Brazilian Christian Women, who have chosen the theme, “Open Doors.” Anyone wanting further information about venues and times should telephone the convener, Ms Esme Howard, at 859-725.
