Signs change
Give-way signs! on New Zealand roads will progressively be replaced with international symbols. The lower of the two signs right is the new sign using the international symbols. [ The give-way sign will be phased in over a threemonth period which began on March 1! ! New Zealand is replacing all road signs with international [ symbolic signs. The changeover, which will take about five years, began last August when temporary warning' signs w.ere introduced. I In November the yellow permanent warning signs for such things las curves and pedestrian | crossings were introduced.
