Nurse Maude wages
An agreement has been reached in wage negotiations for Nurse Maude Association district and hospital nurses. District nurses who are State linked, will receive a 7 per cent wage increase while an 8 per cent increase has been agreed on for the association’s hospital nurses, the New Zealand Nurses’ Union’s national secretary, Ms Stephanie Breer, said yesterday. A 14 per cent increase was achieved with the oncall allowance for district nurses. All other allowances will increase by 7 per cent. The wage talks also agreed to change the title hospital aid to nurse aid in keeping with union policy.
