Police on the run
The Christchurch police will be on the run next Tuesday. About 100 policemen will be taking part in the Christchurch region police triathlon starting at the clock tower, Sumner at 10 a.m. The event has been organised to encourage staff fitness and individuals and teams in three age groups will be competing. The physical education officer, John Gaze, said there would be no winners or losers although he was expecting keen competition between some of the branch police stations. The event will begin with a 500 metre swim off Scarborough beach, followed by a circuit 25km cycle and skm run
