We are seeking someone with a wide range of specialised photographic skills who will be able to apply them to the diverse requirements of a variety of research programmes. The emphasis is on the recording of biological and forensic specimens for research and publicity purposes. As Photographer-in-Charge, the appointee will be responsible for financial and staff management, together with the organisation of work priorities. PLANT SCIENTIST - GORE A PLANT SCIENTIST is required to evaluate the agronomic potential and important morphological features of new pasture species and cultivars for different livestock management systems. The Grasslands Division research station at Gore plays a key role in the research and development of pasture cultivars for cool temperate regions both in New Zealand and overseas. It also carries out research into pasture requirements for a range of animal enterprises. Applicants should have a PhD or post-graduate degree in Science or Agriculture and an interest in agricultural research. Background in species evaluation, plant breeding or plant demographic studies would be an advantage.
