Education Vacancies LECTURESHIP IN ANIMAL SCIENCE LINCOLN COLLEGE (University College of Agriculture) APPLICATIONS are invited for the position of Lecturer in the Animal Science Department at Lincoln College. Lincoln College is situated 20 kilometres from the centre of Christchurch, New Zealand, and is a constituent College of the University of Canterbury, with its own Council and Professiorial Board. There are approximately 1700 registered students, including 250 postgraduates. Applicants should possess a degree in Science, Agricultural Science or Veterinary Science and have postgraduate experience in animal physiology. The appointee will have teaching duties at diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate levels in animal physiology, and will contribute to the teaching of animal physiology with regard to ruminant and other species. A person with research interests in the physiology of growth or mineral metabolism is required. Commencing salary will be at a step commensurate with qualifications and experience within the range NZ532,000 — $NZ38,500 per annum. Candidates should possess appropriate postgraduate qualifications in one or more of the following fields: (1) Personnel Management and Industrial Relations; (2) Marketing; (3) Business Policy and Strategic Management. Practical managerial experience, and a record of research, and teaching at the tertiary level would be advantageous, as would experience in the Third World. The appointment will be for a fixed contract period of three years. Salary will be in accordance with qualifications and experience in the Lecturer II salary: F 12.963 — $14,505 or Lecturer I scale: F 515,017 — $20,409. In addition, the University provides gratuity amounting to 15 per cent of basic salary, appointment allowance and subject to the University’s current housing policy, partlyy furnished accommodation at a rental of 12'4 per cent of salary.
