Bidders lift ACI offer
BTR Nylex and the Pratt Group have lifted their joint takeover offer for ACI International in an attempt to head off criticism that it was pitched too low. The companies said they would lift their offer by AustlOc to 410 c a share and allow shareholders to retain the 8.5 c dividend. They also offered to pay an extra 10c for partly paid ACI shares. The new bid values the glass and packaging company at sAustl.63 billion (SNZI.77 billion), up from $1.59 billion previously.
