Umpires named
Fred Goodall, who transferred from Christchurch to Wellington this season, and Rodger McHarg, of Canterbury, have been appointed to umpire the second cricket test between England and New Zealand. It will be Mr Goodall’s ninety-seventh first-class
match, and his twentyfourth test — both New Zealand records. Mr McHarg’s only previous test was during the 198586 Australian'series.
The reserve umpire for the test, which starts at Eden Park next Thursday, is Graham Cowan, of Auckland.
