Managua protest
Thousands of Nicaraguans marched through the streets of downtown Managua to protest against the Leftist Government’s economic and social policies. Witnesses estimated the throng at between 10,000 and 15,000. Sandinista police stood by as the protest, organised by four opposition workers confederations, moved through the streets of eastern Managua.—Managua.
