'Boeing, Boeing’.,.
Elmwood Players will begin 1988 with a “raunchy comedy” which opens this evening.
The play is Marc Canelotti’s “Boeing, Boeing.” The theme is the three loves — all of whom are airline pilots — of a fashion journalist. Sonja Williams plays the journalist, Barbara, who has to cope with a sudden
rescheduling of flight timetables. Kevin Bolt, Jason Ward and Gregg Lovatt play the three pilots. Liz Weir is the old school friend who arrives unexpectedly and Maria McMillan is the featherbrained maid, Beatrice. David Thomas, the director of the production, has directed three shows for the Players.
He said the cast was a young one but most of the six actors had been in several shows.
The season at the Elmwood Playhouse in Fulton Avenue will run on Wednesday to. Saturday evenings for three weeks. The theatre is planning to run three week seasons this year rather than the usual two week seasons.
