Meat Board nominations
PA Wellington The New Zealand Meat Board has received six •nominations for the two available positions as producers’ representatives. The board’s returning officer, Mr Trevor Playford, said that the nominations were: Mr Mervyn Barnett, Dunsandel (sitting member); Mr Alan Duthie, Gore; Mr Gavin Herlihy, Ranfurly; Mrs Prue Humphries, Pongaroa; Mr Paul Pedersen, Waverley; Mr Timothy Plummer, Waipawa. One of the two board positions is now held by Mr Mervyn Barnett, who is seeking re-election. The other position is held by a former board chairman, Mr Adam Begg, who is not seeking reelection. The election will be held at the electoral committee’s meeting with the board at Wellington on March 30.
