Kitchen Table
The Kitchen Table, a women’s economic awareness group founded last year, is holding its first meeting of 1988 on Saturday, January 30, at 1.45 p.m. at the W.E.A. in Gloucester Street. The group ended last year with a submission to the Royal Commission on Social Policy, focusing particularly on the need for everyone to be in paid employment. This meeting will discuss directions for the year, responding to the media, monitoring sexist advertising by financial institutions and courses of action to be taken. All women are welcome to the meeting. A creche will be provided. For more information, telephone Moira Pennell, 518472.
