Service does well
A company has been established in Auckland “to help turn possible real estate sales into confirmed ones.” Property Inspection Services, a division of Safe-Guard (N.Z.) Ltd, will check all aspects of intended real estate purchases and assess the viability of a property’s structural quality. Buyers and sellers of domestic property have shown a real interest in the service, according to the company.
Property Inspection Services operates seven days a week. It is on call to inspect all aspects of a home with a two-day report service.
Of course, not all home and properties are flawed, but who knows? There is the niche for a professional inspection service to give peace of mind to the purchasers.
Managing director Mr Arthur Munday, who heads the team, also runs Home Improvement
Services, and says that the establishment of a property inspection service was a logical commercial progression. Others in the team include a consulting engineer and a consulting clerk of works. Virtually all aspects of the building and property are included in the inspections. Electrical, piles, joists, framing, spouting, insulation, exterior clading, windows, drainage and fences are just some of the 46 areas inspected.
Mr Munday says the company’s service would help a real estate salesperson to finalise a sale in a situation where the client was apprehensive. It could be suggested that the sale and purchase agreement be signed subject to the receipt of a satisfactory structural report. “The company has already under-taken this work for several real estate agents and they have all proved to be successful for both’ buyer and salesperson,” said Mr Munday.
